Nyan Latt, MD Assistant Professor Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology Department of Internal Medicine Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School University Hospital Dr. Latt completed his Doctor of Medicine (M.D) degree at Marmara University, School of Medicine in Istanbul, Turkey. He worked as a medical officer at Accident and Emergency Department at Saint Ann's Bay Hospital in Jamaica, West Indies for 3 years.

Dr. Latt completed his Internal Medicine residency at Greater Baltimore Medical Center. He then completed Gastroenterology fellowship at Kaiser Permanente - Los Angeles Medical Center. He also completed an additional year of Transplant Hepatology at Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education.

Prior to joining Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, Dr. Latt served as a transplant hepatologist at Ochsner Clinic, Multi-Organ Transplant Institute in New Orleans. He was a key faculty for Gastroenterology/Hepatology clerkship for Ochsner Clinical School. He has published several peer-reviewed abstracts, articles, and book chapters.

He has an interest in outcomes research in the fields of Hepatology and Liver Transplantation. He is a member of various medical associations such as the American Association of the Study of Liver Diseases, American Gastroenterological Association and American College of Gastroenterology. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology.

Dr. Latt currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. His primary focus is to care for patients who need liver transplantation as well as patients with various liver diseases, cirrhosis, and liver cancer. He also performs endoscopy procedures.
