The Child Development program provides diagnostic, medical and therapeutic
services to children with developmental and/or behavioral disturbances and
children at risk for such disturbances. In cooperation with other clinicians
within the University setting, services are coordinated to offer specialized
interventions from a multidisciplinary perspective. Collaborating clinicians
including pediatric subspecialists, mental health professionals, social
workers, nutritionists, and therapists specializing in speech/language,
audiology and rehabilitation. The Division also works closely with community
agencies and local school districts and provides advocacy to families
negotiating needed services and accommodations.
