The Department of Neurosciences provides diagnosis, evaluation, treatment and
extended management for a comprehensive range of suspected and confirmed
neurological disorders in adults and children. The staff is available on a
consulting basis to assist primary care physicians with cases that are
difficult to manage. The department treats patients with diseases of the brain,
spinal cord, nerves or muscles. It has special interest in multiple sclerosis,
muscular dystrophy, peripheral neuropathies, stroke, headaches, epilepsy, brain
tumors, neurooncology, pediatric neurology, neurofibromatosis, neuromuscular
disorders, chronic fatigue syndrome/fibromyalgia, neuro-electro diagnostic
testing, and myasthenia gravis.
